We’re a highly collaborative and supportive team, coming together on every project to ensure our members and partners get the support they need.

Our Mission

We understand that artists thrive when they have the support and resources they need to bring their visions to life. To this end, we actively support our members in their individual projects. Whether it’s a visual artist working on a new exhibition, a musician composing a groundbreaking piece, or a writer penning their next masterpiece, we’re here to provide guidance, connections, and assistance to help turn dreams into reality.

Our Values

At the heart of our collective is the belief that creative magic happens when we collaborate. We value and promote the power of unity in diversity, where French-speaking artists join hands with our Kiwi counterparts. Together, we create art that transcends boundaries, cultures, and expectations. We foster an environment where every voice is heard, and every perspective adds to the richness of our artistic tapestry. Through collaborative creativity, we celebrate the fusion of French and Kiwi artistic spirits, making a profound contribution to our community and beyond.

Upcoming event

For its first event, C.A.F.E. is launching an animation festival : WAFF – Wellington Animation Film Festival. In collaboration with Annecy International Animation Film Festival and the French Embassy of New Zealand, the event will take place once a year at the historic Roxy Cinema in the heart of Wellywood and Peter Jackson’s studio : Miramar/ Wellington.

Wellington – Animation Festival fills a gap in the market by launching a world class animation festival in New Zealand, with its home in one of the world’s cities of Film. It will present a highly selective, annual showcase of the best new works of animation from around the world, with programs for both adults and families. But it also brings renowned professionals from Aotearoa and abroad to share and discuss the future of the animation industry.
